Hello from the not so sunny Scotland

Post by Scotchish »

Hi all
my names Tavish
been making wine on and off for maybe 10 years then about 5 years ago purchased a small pot still and had a go at distilling and after 10/15 washes of the turbo I got pisd off with the hours n hours of stripping runs on a 4 litre still with not so good results and little knowledge decided to sell on
,so a few weeks ago seen a cheap 25l reflux for sale ( don't shoot me down it's a t500 ano ano!) ....and here I am :) ....first week I make the mistake of running a turbo wash (I had vodka star from last attempt  ) but hey hoe it gave me a running of the relux to give me an idea how this contraption worked ,now have 25 litres of tpw bubbling away under the stairs and looking forward giving this a run so been reading a lot about making the cuts etc,big learning curve but hopefully be making something palatable :D cheers and great forum btw guys
