That seems way too good to be true.

Try this one. I'm doing this all from my phone so, it's a little different.

I am going to take a gamble should be here next week
And if it’s wicked thin and won’t cook corn than I have a new 25 gallon fermenter

I plan to use mine tomorrow, it's no where as thin as the price suggests. I'll update as I go.
Re: 100qt Brew pot $80
I looked at that link and was looking for physical dims it is listed as "15 x 27 x 12.3 in" it's a pot how's that possible still might be a great deal.
Re: 100qt Brew pot $80
Pot showed up today it’s thicker than comparable pots at the home brew store for half the price
And with the insert for a crawdad boil this will be perfect for brew in a bag

This is so tempting.
Price now says 59.99. Am I looking at the right thing?

Cracking up at that fill line. I get that it's for a loaded insert, but it still looks silly.

Re: 100qt Brew pot $80
I got one of the 60qt Breaux kettles for about $50. I've used it once and so far I'm pretty happy with it. It comes with a SS basket. The holes in the basket are too big to hold grain so I may line it with screen and use it like a brew-in-a-bag.
Re: 100qt Brew pot $80
Sadly these have been sold out. I've been using the 100 qt as a fermenter and using steam to boil. Great quality for the price and the lid is strong enough to hold up my CCVM. I use the 1/2" NPT port to hold the thermowell.

Corrected your link you had the image tabs wrong and tap a talk inside the link.
Re: 100qt Brew pot $80
I got one of the 80qt ones for $70. It's good quality for that price.
Re: 100qt Brew pot $80
Any ideas on how to modify the basket to make it into a sort of brew-in-a-bag?
I'm wondering if I could solder some SS screen into it.

Re: 100qt Brew pot $80
You could do that, or just use a bag in the basket.
Although I think soldering the mesh to the basket would be a bad idea. I think cleaning it could be difficult. If you soldered mesh into the basket shape and just put it in the basket, it should work just as well and be easier to clean.

Re: 100qt Brew pot $80
I had a bag made for the basket originally so i could drain it out after fermentation and it worked well enough. The small number of holes definitely impeded draining, though. In hindsight it's easiest to just get a bag instead of using the included basket if you have a way to lift the bag and let it drain for a while.

He has a little block and tackle to raise the bag.
And it is mounted on a little gantry so he can slide it sideways, I guess so it is above the vessel he wants to drain it into.
Seems to work fine.

I loaded grain and all into my 8gal milk can kettle and set it in the 100qt. Then cut a piece of Home depot sheet metal out for a cap. (Redneck Bain Marie)

Re: 100qt Brew pot $80
Not much to say,
Here's a pic of the sheet metal I cut out. It worked really well the last strip I did was more like a pot of grits than a mash. I ran it pretty hard and no scorch.
I'll try to answer any questions you may have though. Fire away!

Re: 100qt Brew pot $80
Now that I've been using my 80qt one for a while, it's not very good stainless. I doubt it's 304. I'm getting rust spots all over it. I'm not sure if it's contamination on the surface or shitty stainless. Guess I'll need to scotch Brite the whole damned thing and passivate it. Anyone else getting that?
Edit: it's 201 stainless. You guys will want to make sure it's completely dry before closing it up. You'll definitely get rust spots. Can't treat this thing like 304.
