Has anyone tried using a Brita water filter for filtering your run?

High proof spirits and plastics are a bad idea.
If you need to filter it through anything more than a coffee filter, to remove bits of charred wood, you need to keep reading and practicing.
Fear and ridicule are the tactics of weak-minded cowards and tyrants who have no other leadership talent from which to draw in order to persuade.

As above those filters are plastic, ethanol is a high grade solvent, no one here is going to condone filtering using one of those filters.

A better filter can be made by using a Stainless Steel pipe and fitting a needle valve on the bottom . Fill it with activated carbon . Such things are also available off the shelf.

However, with good distilling practices and equipment , filtering shouldn’t be necessary .

I usually don't have to filter! It was just a thought. I saw a video of someone using something similar to one of those. Only thing I have ever used is a coffee filter inside a screen. But thanks for the information!
