Fermentability of cornmeal/cornflour (YLAY)

All about grains. Malting, smoking, grinding and other preparations.
Which grains are hot, which are not.

Fermentability of cornmeal/cornflour (YLAY)

Post by PalCabral »

Does anyone know?

It seems for YLAY, cornmeal is preferred so I am planning to use it as it is cheaper and easier to find than cracked corn and flaked corn of acceptable quality and price in this country. But to calculate the fermentability in my brewing friend I need the PPG, or any kind of hint of the fermentability. Do you know?

Many thanks in advance.
