I finally got my 7G "Baby Bear" finished.
I had an extra port put on top for either thermo well, fill port, thumper output port (I wish I had a fill port on Mama Bear)
So 2 ports on top, 4 on the bottom (1 drain, 3x 1000w 120v elements) off set enough so the elements dont touch, and tight to the bottom for doing really small trial runs.
Mama Bear is 15G keg, 4" port up top leading to a 2" column, w. an 18" 8 barrel defleg.
4 lower ports for drain, & 3 elements. (1) 5500w 240v and (2) 1500w 120v - heats up FAST and with controls on the elements it tunes in really really well for compressing heads.
I can run pot (stripping runs are crazy fast) or I can extend the column another 24" (not shown), 48" total packed with copper mesh and small condenser up top - runs a fine neutral!
This has been some time coming. It wasn't cheap, other than free kegs, but I don't see myself needing more than this for some time (yeah, I know, I'll be upgrading next year... which is exactly what my wife said).
Excited and wanted to share!
And also - what would you have added or changed?
