Red star base/ production increase

Turns out Red Star yeast is produced in a city close to me (Cedar Rapids, ia). Was an article in the paper this week that ADM is increasing the production facility size. I also found it interesting that they use corn syrup and not molasses as base sugar for growing the yeast. Makes sense as that’s one of their main products along with ethanol, which uses their yeast.
