Is there a way to search for a THREAD we started?

I know I can go to "my posts", but I have so many, especially in Welcome center, I was looking for a THREAD I started and was hoping I could just search posts I started instead of just the posts I have made.

Sadie,
Click the settings icon (the gear) beside the site search box (NOT google).
In the search query section, type your username into the 'search for author' box.
In the search options section select 'First post of topic only'
click search.

Maybe the admins could add a 'search users topics' on the profile page, changing it from this:

to something like this:

woo hoo!! It worked! I found what I was looking for. It was driving me crazy. I couldn't remember when or where it was posted or even what topic. That made it soooo easy!!
