So a few years ago, I joined this forum. I could have just lurked, and sucked from the pool of wisdom from people with decades of wisdom here, but I joined because I liked the concept where we learn from each other. Thank you all for what I learned! Now a small contribution of my own. When starting this hobby, I had never soldered, nor welded. Now I solder almost daily. Also, I got a welding converter with TIG abilities, yet a cheap one. I never abandoned my idea of, apart from the bought 25l pot, making my own small one, 5-10 l. (1-2.5 gallon). For that, I have made 4 attempts to : A- weld, B-TIG weld and C-solder. If you buy a cheap pot, it it 0.3 to 0.4 mm thick!!!!!!!!!! Forget argon gas and TIG, it won't work unless you are a gdmn welding genious! Solder that shit! (Talking out of frustration) I whish I didn't spend on the TIG path, it is not going to fly.
