Re: Downtime coming up soon

Like would be a new 'feature' (adding a module for like type behavior). The donation button is something UJ added, which I am not overly fond of. I would rather just modify the source which generates the footer of every page, and add it there. But UJ added a 'paypal mod', and you get what you get.. ...

Re: Downtime coming up soon

The site is updated (and downgraded, them updated, then downgraded, lol). Certainly not without a bit of pain, but we should have the version we will be running for quite a while. That being the case, there are a few things which may not be functioning correctly. IF you spot things which were workin...

Re: So hey, how's your last 24 hours been?

As for tapatalk, i will probably have to address that, since this site was already tapatalk and linked to my tapatalk account. We will get things functioning. But anything you notice that 'worked' this way last week, but 'is missing' this week, post it here. I know there are some menu items missing....

Re: So hey, how's your last 24 hours been?

I will be around a bit, doing some admin work, trying to help get things running as they were before the upgrade, and actually trying to get them working better than before. I know there are several things on the board needing addressed which over the last few years (since I self retired), have star...

Re: 50 thousand total forum topics!!!

Saw the spoon feed thread, and really liked that. Things certainly are in competent hands. Some good people have things running really smooth it seems. I will probably have to make things squeak a bit in the near future, and upgrade the forum software again. It's been about a year since it was updat...

Re: Windows 10???

I have yet to have a conversation with anyone who has used Windows 10 and likes it... Love it. I only paused at 8 on a throw away laptop bought right about the time when pretty much all big box were not providing win7 any more. I love win 7. I dispised Win8, but after finding 'Classic Shell' I was ...

Wholly CRAP. in 2 days, this will be a decade long EPIC thread, with almost a half million views!!!!. There are 3200 replies to it, and I bet over the years, we have removed 5000/10000 'not' relevant posts from it (the "wow, works great" type). The wonderful thing is this IS a wonderful re...

Re: Building a 3 string Cigar Box Guitar

Lets see you battery power that tube, lol. I saw a ton of tube like this last fall at junk stock. They are around, and yes, an old tube amp is really what 'should' go with this CBG.

Good stuff.

Re: Building a 3 string Cigar Box Guitar

Looks like your basic 555 amp circuit (is that what it is). That chip (if it is the 555 you used), is SOOOO versatile. If not, then please post a link to whatever schematic you used. 555 can also be used for almost any sound effect modification box. But IIRC, the really 'simple' circuits do get pret...

1. Fill your boiler, and do a stripping run (when you have your wash done). When you do this, don't try to reflux anything, just leave the take-off valve wide open, and collect from the beginning, until the EtOH is been fully boiled off. Does this mean that for a stripping run that the foreshots go...

Re: AUCTION 3 STRING CIGAR BOX GUITAR BIDDING STARTS NOW

When Pyewacket originally presented this idea, he also mentioned he would cover all packing and shipping costs. I have added that to the rule. So now that you know this, bid without having to concern yourself with covering that cost. I figured there might be a adjustment or 2 to the rules. Well that...

Oh Snap! (perhaps a US shipping address?...)
If someone lives in Antarctica, but HAS a someone with a US shipping address they could ship to, then I see no reason why they could not participate.

I am hoping this is fixed. I think UJ updated apache on the 20th. I copied over the older apache22.conf file. I need to take time and figure out exactly what changes from the newer version's apache.conf file need to be put back in. NOTE, you may have to force reload the 'homedistiller.org' page, if ...

Kegs acquisition can be a strange thing. You will hunt for 8 weeks, and get nothing, then in 2 days, 3 of them will end up in your lap from 3 unrelated people. They are out there, and will show up givin time.
