My analogy has always been that at some point in time

the planet will flush the toilet and that will be the end of humans.

Copper for pipe and wire is electrically processed to 99.9 purity so lead is not an issue.

At least you asked about rubber seals.

look up agglomerated cork, and composite cork in the search bar

to discover what is wrong with the corks you pictured.

If it flakes off to clean stainless, it is not rust.

Reconditioned from what use? If you don't know It's previous contents,

It's a hard no. If you can document It's history you choose. I would not

use it for mashing, and for fermenting only with a liner. Previous

contents is important.

wine barrels are not charded on the inside, what that barrel is perfect for is finnishing a whisky thats already aged. wine finished single malts are one of my favorite things right now. Part of the process of making a (commercial) wine barrel is to subject the inside to FIRE. Geoff Fire makes it e...

We have Mexican food every Cinco de Mayo. Tonight it was fajitas.
Once a year is not survivable for me. 3-4 times a week is more like it.

Cinco de mayo is the only american holiday I can think of

that wasn't invented by the american candy makers.

The Plastisol gasket in those jar lids is not going to improve smell or taste.

In the second picture the crankshaft offset is visible on the right end of the flywheel shaft.

The overspeed governor balls are visible closer to the flywheel. Balls out means full speed.

put a condenser on the output of the piston and you could have booze that tastes like oil and grease.

ahhh my heart hurts... I've like 6 liters of pure alcohol, do I have to really throw all of it? It seems fine, smells fine. And I did a water-boiling ride for cleaning before I distill alcohol. Maybe it is related to too much power in the boiler, and the product is fine? Because the dirt is like oi...

…The sooner you drop the PID, the sooner you'll get there. I don’t run a PID for controlling distillation. Not sure what led you to think that I do. I was picking on the subjective nature of the advice that was being given. This post sure muddied the water. https://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopic...

The barrels were prepped with an overnight soak in RO water, they have polymer seals and do not leak. What part of the barrel is sealed with polymer s...

Re: What do they use to clear coat liquor bottles?

If you have acetone, lay the bottle on it's side fold up 3 squares of toilet paper for 3 layers

dribble acetone to the point of saturation, and leave for a couple hours and see if it softens.

This is always my next step after water doesn't work.

After that a heat gun but breakage is a risk.
