Thankyou chemist. For all ya'll who don't know about the Chemist, he's actually a chemist AND he works in the alcohol industry. No need for ya'll to trust my words on the plastic controversy, but please heed his. I do have the question of why is PGA available in plastic in the liquor store though? ...

Here in TN where I live it is only available in plastic (We buy it for cleaning delicate electronics, as the denatured available isn't usable for what we need it for.) Perhaps he meant to bring out something about it being used in...

Actually all you have to do is to go to the company's website who produces the product. I use DAP silicone for example on some gaskets on the plastic still I use for stripping. The particular kind I am using said that it is food safe and also safe for use around solvents after it is cured. JD, it wa...

From personal experience with that type of still type I can say this. The alcohol you will get out of it is going to be of pretty poor quality. I have never noted any off tastes from the plastic and after many uses the still hasn't changed in clarity or appearance so I don't think the alcohol is get...

Also if I remember correctly from reading either brewhaus or milehigh's site sometime back, all still sales by them are registered and must be passed on to the federal authority (TTB?) if they request such. Might wanna read the fine print, or have your still shipped somewhere that it can't be traced...
