after further drinkin' and reading i see that OD used slotted plates, conically shaped, in a build. seems to me that the need to seal the plate is unsubstantiated. I like the conical shape directing the reflux towards the center= genius. I'm leaning towards the easy to build, slotted, conical plates...

OD, i recently read a post and saw a column built by DECOY in glass using SS plates with radial slots in operation. looked pretty good. what do you and KS think about that setup over the bubble, holes, or valves you are currently using?

After my wife read my post back to me, i realize I wasn't clear: I meant the use of 3" pipe instead of 4" pipe to construct the still, the other dimensions of the flute being the same. also, Rad mentioned the use of fine steel mesh might be possible for the plates, i have this too. 125 mic...

hi KS, do you think 3" from the keg to the bottom of the Graham is ok? I am building my flute this way as i have a bunch of 3".
