Not quite in milk country here but I know a few cheap stainless places around town.
Yes I was going to try and find copper packing to go inside, I figure that that should be enough copper for still.

Would it do damage to put a high ABV in the barrel to fade the wood tastes out of it? just basically put a neutral 60-65 in there for a few months to slow it up so you could run rum in it for a lot longer to be able to age rather than flavour
