For what you would pay for 42 lb of brown sugar, be cheaper to buy your drink.

You can clean copper with lemon and salt, right? A piece of lemon, a dab of salt on it, scrub down your copper just fine, no?

Keep all your repair copper and bronze fittings in a Tupper type plastic box with some old chopped up newspaper. If your stuff is dirty and corroded, in half a gallon of boiling hot water put one quart of white distilled vinegar, throw about a pound of your fittings and return to a boil, then simult...

Would it serve any purpose to run a coolant loop through the top of a pot column, say a 1/4" cu line (through and back again). Column height say 16" packed with cu mesh. Solder in a narrow washer to keep the reflux off the column wall. Was thinking you could run it as a standard pot with o...

2" wide, 10" long, cyclic rate I believe is 2,100 rounds per minute if I remember right. Things all over the place when you fire though. Too small to control well.

Re: Screw Plug Immersion Heater
O.K. New question.
Apparently, I can put in a 4500 w element, and just buy a dimmer rated for 5000 w, wire it together and it is good to go. Is this correct? I do not have to wire in resistors and triacs etc?

I didn't know if we could hot link or not Hawke, that is why I XX'ed out the TT's. Some sites frown on hot linking. Couldn't remember the policy here so I was playing safe. Same place. I'm from Ont also. I have checked their prices per weight for most of the ingredients we use in this hobby (that they carry anyway). Even Fortinos beats them.
