How did you weld the copper pipe to the stainless? Is it TIG welded??

Old Copper fire Extinguisher

Hi there,
Do you think the copper of an old fire extinguisher would be suitable for a pot still?

Would it contain any toxins or Brass ect?

I tried this triple distilled yeast and added the 2 part clearing agent as described, the wash turned out to be as clear as water and had no smell. well i put it into my still and it foamed up the column, i put in the usual 5L which i don't have any trouble with when doing a plain sugar wash. i also...

I am using a pure distilling still, for cooling water i am using the local supply and putting it onto the lawn. The tap water is actually quite hot so I'll probably have to use a reservoir with ice as suggested.

i collect my distillate in a 1L glass juice bottle and as it comes out of the condenser it is still quite warm.
