Re: Problem with running succesful still

Corn mash in a pressure cooker could have plugged the outlet and then the pressure relief came into action.
EZ to have corn boil over.
Forget abt the corn mash for a while... just use a simple sugar ez recipe to start with.
Best to read a whole bunch!

There's some oxide problems, but that comes mostly from the tough-pitch/electrolytic copper stock that is .05% copper oxide, no matter what.

Re: New Take on a Great Design... ODs Magic Flute - Mark 2.

A work of art. I have decided to take the flute plunge, however I will be building out of stainless as it is considerably cheaper than copper. The plates and 'vitals' will of course be copper. One question though; can someone please patch me a link to a drawing for the plumbing for a flute. I am su...

I put a 1/4" Al disk I cut out of some scrap under the stainless pot to mellow out the direct heat a bit.
It helped.
Sloshing the stuff all over the place sure makes a mess, though.

RayDean, I shall run a burner on natural gas soon. Probably a water heater burner, or a home-made banjo style. It's simply the cheapest power option in the city. ...If too hot, shouldn't be much problem to cut it back... drive a toothpick into a pattern selection of orifices, or use small sheetmetal...
