People here get touchy over the lagality of that question. I wont say how I got mine, so no one gets mad at me.... but the forums answer would be: 'contact your local distrobuter, I am sure they have some scrap kegs to sell'.

+1 on kellers website. You need to tailor the ammount of sugar in your musts to the toxicity level of your yeasts... ie, if you use a Montrochet, you need to add enough sugars to hit a 12% ABV, If you use an 118, you can add enough sugars to hit 19% ABV. Before your next brew-day, buy some blow off tubing. Just hit the home improvement store, and get some clear tubing you can jam in the neck of the carboy instead of the airlock, and run the other end into a jar full of sanitising solution.... this keeps the airlock from turning into a ballistic obje...

yea, I racked it again and thats what it seemed to be... never seen that happen before. These two carboys are only about half full. there is a PHBB chat module on the PHBB site. I use it it on a board I have...works well. Users must be registered and logged into the site. Anyone with Admin or Mod status on the boards has same staus in the chat module.

I'm a Gurkha Grand Reserve guy. Light to medium body, and triple dipped in cognac. They have several medium to strong body cigars, but are pricey. Grand Reserve is 12-15 dollars, depending on the store.

Reminds me of the time I went to the LHBS and asked about a sight glass for my boiler. I asked about the way the glass was joined to the fitting. Once I said rubber was unnaceptable, because there might be hot alchohol vapor around, our conversation was ended quickly! I guess he put 2+2 tgether...lol

I was reading about that on the MW site... Had to try it out. Steps 1 and 2 of the starter maybe went as fast as a properly airated starter. after that, noticed no difference. I really need to do a side by side comparrison tho.

good place to buy supplies from. I have purchased items from them and had good service. I'd rather drive the extra 15 miles to Midwest. I found the desk staff in NB to not really know what they are doing.... and the store is too tiny, not enough on hand. Just my opinion on the store... never ordere...
