Copper Flange
I see this sight with a copper flange that could possibly used to attach a copper head to a SS pot. Dose anyone know if this one would be OK to use?

Re: copper pot still clean up
Is it OK when you clean up after a run with hot slop but do not use your rig for a month or so to leave the green patina
in the column? Or should that all be cleaned out before your next run down to the copper?

I I like your idea and again I really wish there was some way we could all, once and for all, taste each other's stuff, it would be so cool to actually taste what we try desparately to describe in writing. Re: Balsa Wood
Up date,
I tried the balsa wood over the weekend. I just cut the gaskets with a razor knife and attached them in a double layer. They sealed real nice and had no leaking at all. So if you need another option for a seal I would think the balsa wood would be another choice to use..

Re: Balsa Wood
The reason I was asking about the balsa wood was because I just can not find any natural cork any place. All I find is sheets or tile that say natural but it is after investigating I find that they are all glued... I stumbled across the balsa and thought that would work. It seams like a few of you t...

Balsa Wood
I know there have been several topics about what can be safely use for gaskets on a still from silicone to cork and of course the old reliable flower paste. I was in the hardware store yesterday and ran across some balsa wood and got to thinking if it could be used for a gasket? It may not last long...
