hi all after doing some thinking on what my build will be like i was thinking about putting a little viewing window on the site of my column where thre plates are so i can see when and how the reflux is working. it might help me in some way....... ok so my column is 2inch tubeing i was thinking of m...

@ Samohon. yes thats the boka i am going for it seams the eastest to do and i have all the gear at work to cut pipe and saw x axis and y axis slits for the plates was also thinking of making a peep window to see whats going on inside has anyone else done this with success? i think it would be very c...

all it says is half hard..... had a quick look around other sites and also these speak about it being half hard.....


the size will be a 10l pot with 2 inch tube at 1m packed hight and then the coil ontop of that (not got to coil size yet)

lol the missus will kill me if i start churning out stills lol. would be nice to have another one a pot still maybe that way i get the best of both worlds. and after all a 3m length of 53mm is like 55 pound......... beats buying two lots of 1.5 i guess.... now im no metal expert but this tube comes ...

unsure where to look for tube ect

hi all i will soon be undertaking a boka build. But im stuck on where to go on the net for copper tube..... i can find 3m=lengths but thats way to long for my still i was thinking of a meter or so high for my column... 1meter packed and then room for a coil ontop of that for cooling..... so 1.5meter...

after reading alot on here yes i would have to control it as a CM ok also after reading bits and bons i get the impression that a reflux still aint all what i thought it was...... i thought it was better then a pot still? i get the impression i should be now building a pot still and stay away from r...

when i set my reflux still off do i let it heat up and then turn my water on and keep it at 80c? and do nothing dont touch nothing? or am i aloud to change water rate to keep the temp at 80c? is there an amunt of time to boil the mash people follow? or is it like i said before set to 78-80c and leav...
