Re: How long will milled grain last in a vacuum bag?
At room temp it will last till any insect eggs hatch. In the freezer long enough. Purged with nitrogen even longer. I don't know how long newly hatched insects will last in a vacuum bag because that's not a perfect vacuum. As an old HVAC guy, pull the deepest vacuum you can. Break the vacuum with d...

For me I always use 45 or 50 % silver and the appropriate flux, but I billed it to the client too. Made copper to stainless very easy.

My approach would be plant it, pick it, shell it, mash it, ferment. If I got free seed, I’ll use it.

“Producers Pride All Grain”. Is “Sweet COB”. Sweet Molasses, Corn Oats, Barley.
Grain is getting expensive enough they have taken to adding alfalfa pellets and the like.

6 inch pipe with 6 perforated plates should do neutral ok. My experience is I could not cool it well enough. The power to fill the plates took bunches of cooling for the product condenser. 60 degree cooling water could nor fow fast enough to stay ahead of the plates,

I heard that a horse feed mash did a great whiskey. ( you know, sweet feed). Being vegan I ate the entire bag of producers pride all grain sweet feed before I could try to “mash” it.
Re: Dry COB
Picking up any COB has been a trick at TSC. Many stores don’t carry it and can’t order it in. See if they have feed molasses and add that in.

I built one this way, but went with 2 inch ball valve and 90. Had a 4 inch tri clamp on top. More for cleaning, as I ran a 3 inch outlet.
As a boiler you may not have any trub or solids to plug a one inch valve.

OK, my opinion, 3/8 rod is too small to take the heat, regardless of the fastening technique. Angle iron frame to lift the tank and heat, 1/2 inch threads to adjust at the bottom, away from the heat. I found this chart online . At 750F a 3/8" rod can stand 572 lbs of max load. I planned on usi...

I too am in the healthcare field. You are risking a huge fire using high proof alcohol on surfaces. Hand sanitizer needs to be 70 percent or better to kill bacteria and viruses. Do not “aerosolize “. It. Do not saturate surfaces with it. It only takes a spark to ignite. Ask your State Fire Marshall ...
