In my opinion its hard to beat the ones from Still Dragon.....a good product at a reasonable price.
I'm sure they have a supplier there.

Re: Turbo500 Control Question
Google search....."DIY Controller Kit" .....there is one that pops up for around $50 Au.
Never had trouble with the one I own. More than one person distributes them in the world if you hunt around a bit.
There seems to be a lot out there that are way over priced ..research before you buy.

You must have a lot of oak in there for it to be colouring that fast.......the rule of thumb is that a litte oak for a long time is better than to much for a short time.Pacific Punk wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 9:55 pmexcited that my Agave Spirit has already taken on a lot of colour after one night on toasted oak.

High ABV washes never end well......if you must use sugar keep the wash to 10-12%.......less would be even better. If i had access to unlimited berrys I probably wouldnt use any sugar at all. At the time this recipe was put on the forum almost everybody would have used pot stills. So the answer is yes.
As for the dunder, Id follow Pugies recipe.......or it wont be Pugirum.

They look exactly the same as supplied with a T500 reflux still......if so the only " water proof" part is the probe and the wire leading to the thermometer.

Re: equilibrium
I think there is a simple answer..you ran slower than usual.....the still had a chance to do what it should do.
The slower that you run any reflux still the more the heads n fores will get compressed.

Reflux still is what you need for that job. The slower you run the better.....the more reflux you run the cleaner the spirit will be. Wont even guess at how long... that will depend entirely on take off speed. 1 litre jars are way to big.....you will learn a lot more a lot quicker by having a lot of...
