birdwatchers sugar wash is fine for neutrals i rate it higher than the turbos for sure, especially when it comes to cost. i've done 6 x 25L washes of it and never had one go wrong. a few have ended prematurely due to weather conditions here but that mostly only affects yield quanitity. i make carefu...

New (Micro)Distillery just opened in Western Australia

How to measure ABV of turbo wash accurately?

might be a silly question and if so, flame on... 8) i just cant find any info apart from beer brewing forums and i'm not sure if that can be related directly. how do you accurately measure ABV of turbo washes with all the carbon affecting the readings? does the OG and FG method work? i.e. (OG - FG) ...

How long did it take you to get the 2.9L? 76% is a little low even for the still spirits still in my opinion. Next time increase the water flow to try and slow down your take off. around 170 minutes in hindsight i did rush it a little, but being the first run i didnt really know what to expect. any...

i just did my first run from one of these stills went pretty well but had to fiddle a little bit to get the water flow right. got a fairly low yield compared to the specs of the turbo yeast/turbo sugar specs... about 2.9L @ 76.5%AbV i put it down to it being really warm in my part of the world over ...
