Re: more progress pics of 3" internal TEE LM/VM
what...non of you guys going to comment on the distance from the takeoff to the gate valve? you built a beautiful rig for sure. in the past i've read posts on where to place the gate valve. think most want it close to the takeoff tee to avoid pooling of distilate/heads. then theres the verticle/hori...

Re: sourcing a sight glass and another Q
like red said i've had a 3" plate dics for my window for quite a while. they never realy get hot so i don't think pyrex type is needed. i sandwiched the glass between 2 "gaskets" of flour paste and tightened the whole lot together. any leaks were fixed with more paste. simple, cheap, ...

Re: glass viewing window?
anything will work if you can clamp it tight. hell a bunch of spring cips would work. i just like to machine sometimes. copper is tough to machine though. bottom section of the window should slant down so etho won't pool near the glass. that's 1/4" pyrex glass. got a bunch of it. i use rye past...

hawke i think it's cut on a wet saw and then preheated to ~ 1000 deg f then picked up and worked in the gloryhole. we can only do it with red stripe beer bottles as there ceramic decals will hold up to the heat of reworking. i'll have to get a few bottles and try it. gman
