the answer,,,,,yes and no...DME and LME both have been mashed for you ,then concentrated. so no they cant convert any other grains,,thank of condensed soup,,just add water. rgr that called the home brew store, they assured me they are in business and have a stock of grains next up, track down the $...

Odds are I will finish off the bag of corn in a ujsm. that should work for a wile. I did get the recipe off here somewhere but I don't think it was spoonfed the way I guess i needed it. Just searched for a 5 gallon recipe and that is what came up. I book marked the Carolina Bourbon thread to attempt...

Just oncoverd some of this I had fermenting since mid jan when I was going to get my bucket fermenter for beer, 3rd generation wash Smells chocolaty. Gonna run it after dinner. and suprisingly no mold

Also a big fan of the pressureised penny popcan stoves
they put out a nice flame thats sometimes scary, sounds like a little rocket engine.
usualy last's about as long as it takes to boil a cup of water or so

i got the link for that off another insructables on how to make a wash to use with it out of cornmeal and malt , and i think they ment use rice wine to make some sort of brandy... scary

my bet is i havent been stripping far enuff into it ,

Yep with the exception of the yeast bomb i have followed it more or less to the T made a 12% wash from 2k fancy mollasses and 2k dark brown sugar waterd it down to a og of 1.10 finnished off at a fg for 1.012 for 11.35 abv was made from the dunder of the wash before it and am going to remake the nex...

That's what she said !! lol use to but now i dont took them out to clean out any bugs and really no change with or without them just keep it on a nice slope and i guess because its so long that everything gets a chance to recondence comes out the end about as cold as the tap water going into it

well i threw together my 1st potstill just to see what it could do for a stripping run threw is the correct word for it just used a 45 deg fitting and bout 6ft of inch and a half copper pipe and a cold towel for a makeshift liebig flour paste for every seal on it stuff works good ended out with 160 ...

well kinda on this topic thats what my origonal intent with a sugar wash was to make a clear beer like 8% non alc tasting base"vodka got a taste" to add flavors to it like a punch or koolade /juice and force carbonate with my co2 tank in 2ltr bottles or my 3gal keg got greedy with the pack...

aint the packing enuff ? if he is not getting any vapors out of that condenser ? then there is no point to cool it down anywhere ? all the reflux in this system will happen from the packing and if its not spatting out vapor "check it with a mirror like you would your buddys nose the next mornin...
