Re: T vs plates for Boka

Alex's design was created back in 2001, Shifty's in 2009. I personally would never mimic shifty's design because of the amount of fluid "stuck" in the cup, which would cause much smearing I'm afraid. Plus a bit of waste at the end of each run. That is right. The lower the placement of &qu...

Never finished 2-CUPS

Here are some pictures of my "Never Finished 2CUPS Design." Not that it did not work, but I already had two stills which worked pretty good. So, just trying to post some information for those interested.

Theoretical way to build a spiral leibig condenser

If someone would like to build a spirally shaped leibig here is what I think on how it could be made. 1. Calculate the total length of the piping needed. L=3.14*Diameter and multiply to number of coils. I would say one, max two would be enough. 2. Select two copper pipes which will fit within each o...

2.5"x15=37.5" (as more experienced references mention)
I would say 3 feet would be nice.

My opinion is that wider diameter means slower rising speed of vapors. This means that vapors would have more chances to go through condence-evaporate cycle thus making spirit more pure. Which of course is translated in larget number of "equivalent" plates.
