aging in wood kegs
i have been aging a neutral spirit for 3 months now in a charred white oak keg and the product smells and taste like wood...can someone help me with this ???

when aging spirit in a charred white oak keg, should you shake the keg every so often or should it just sit still and not be moved....also, will we get the sweet smell of whiskey by just aging in the keg or should there be something else added to the keg when aging...

PLEASE HELP.... when aging in a charred white oak keg, is it the amount of time aging that we start to get that sweet whiskey smell...or should i put another ingredient into the keg while aging...

will one get a tequila taste by fermenting with blue agave instead of plain white sugar or do you have to age it to get the tequila taste...thanks scott

can someone give me a tequila recipe....i can get the blue agave in a health food store...but i am not sure as to how much to use in a 5 gallon batch...also, do i put it in the wash before i ferment or put it in the wash before i distill...please help

i used some small glass marbles to fill my column instead of copper or rings....taste of the spirit was very good and and the marbles were a lot easier to clean and work with...has anybody ever tried this method...i would like to hear from you...thanks

i just did a fast run with no reflux and the product came out at about 30% abv...what woud cause that....
