I'm doing my first lactic sour rye now. Damn it smelt bad but soon as I added sugar and yeast it smells really sweet and earthy .

I just feel all the lines and follow the heat , you can tell as line get a lot hotter all the way to the condenser then back heat down just a tad . Once your have your twisting linker come out adjust heat to the size of a match stem .

Are u wanting to make fuel or just something to drink ??? Reason for the question is for a drink learn all grain , that takes care of the sugar problem. And read on wild yeast or making your own strain and keeping it. That takes care of the yeast problem

I hear ya I tried the sweet feed and didn't like it either. I just buy cracked corn. Lbon rye and steam rolled oat It make a really good likker. I made some malted corn and the best way I found to get the sprouts of was I made a basket out of rabbit wire and told the kids to shake the piss out of it...

10-4 usage I just read where he said it was similar to ujssm Didn't know if he was using sugar or not I remember one of you post where u tried to use malted corn instead of yeast . I just did a lactic sour run last weekend and tuned out really good !!!!

Look in the tried and true section at the Gerber I'm gonna do oat , wheat and barley in a 20 gallon wash that way when I siphon off I'll get 10 gallon of clean wash and keep 3 to 4 gallon for a spirit run383trike wrote:Thanks outlaw, I'll get the fermenting buckets on the way and see what it will do.

I run a 15.5 keg with a 20" tall copper cap 2" ss to thumper then to a 2" shotgun condenser it has four 3/8 id tubes inside it works amazing . I get home I'll post some pics

Well hello and good luck here at hd !! And I must say a 1 gallon pot still is very small after good cuts you might have a shot or two ..... I'd go a little bigger so you can make good cuts and have a fair amount to enjoy !!

Well I'd say I would like to meet rad he is a ass and straight up about everything , also he has his hands in anything you could think of and has a very knowledgeable on mechanical equipment . And rad if you read this the ass part had to make you smile !!!!
