First rum run

Fermented my first rum wash the other day,thanks to all you guys for all the help.I did a 5 gallon molassas,brown sugar mix.It took around two weeks to stop bubbling,but i think that was from a lack or airation in the beginning.So last night i started to distill(i was looking forward to it all week)...

Ferment on the grain with an airlock on your bucket.
what does it mean ferment on grain
whisky is alot more complicated that rum

my reciepe was one i found here,first let me say i am TRYing to make rum
5 gallons of water
10lbs of brown sugar
small can of tomato paste
16 oz of molassas
1/4 oz of yeast
heat water to 86 degrees add everything to it yeast last
cover and let sit for 7-10 days

thanks alot guys ,by the way i am running a pot still,i think after researching allittle more i might have not added all my ingredients right.Because i didnt get the reaction with the yeast that i have seen here in the pics.So maybe there was no alcohol to run off.All i got when addind the yeast was...

hello to all
i have been a visitor here about six months
and all the topic in here have be great to read with alot of information so
thanks.The only thing i cant seem to find is the right distilling temp,it has to be between
172-212,anywhere in there right?
