Designing my first pot still
My design is similar to Samohon Pot-Still Drawing but I found his design after I started purchasing my own. My end game is to have a Tri-Clamp design and to at first create a pot still that attaches to a column and perhaps later build a reflux column. http://homedistiller.org/forum/download/file.php...

Re: copper reducer size "does it matter"
How long would a 2" pipe need to be on a 15.5 gallon keg? I was also thinking of reducing the 2" to a 1 1/2 inch prior to the 90 degree turn (saves me $5) and then eventually having a 30mm liebeg condenser made with 3/4" pipe and 1/2" pipe.

Re: Easy / Cheap Pot Still Design for first timer?
I am attempting to make a similar pot still design for my first still. I found some discussions here prior to finding your blueprint. Someone suggested using a 12" length for the 2" pipe coming out of the boiler (I am using a 15.5 gallon keg). Is that length okay? I have more 2" pipe ...

Re: another PNW webfoot waving a hand.
As a local tip - I found a few kegs on Craigslist but I thought they were too high or were too far. So, I posted a wanted ad received several responses. From that I was able to score a 15.5 gallon keg for $20.

I am also from the PNW. Wonder why there are so many of us joining? Maybe it's because our weather stinks and we need an indoor hobby ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Hello!
Thanks. I tend to be uber safe especially since I have no desire to burn my house down or die. I was searching for copper pipe on Craigslist and found someone else looking for it. I contacted him and made a deal to purchase a 10' 2" copper pipe and split the cost. I was able to get a good deal ...

Thanks Piss. I'm starting to get an idea of how I want to do my build but I have a lot of reading to do still.

Flex Copper Pipe
In my search to find parts for my first build I came across a Craigslist ad today for a 2' Flex Copper Pipe for a Water Tank for $3. I searched homedistiller but I only see two builds that use this pipe. Are there any concerns with this type of pipe? Is it possible that it is only partial copper? I ...
