Re: If I wanted to add a bubbler to my 2" pot still

You definately want the shorter delph, the shotgun will not control as well, (or at least WAY SLOWER reaction time). Now on the torpedo, I found it cheaper with the 4X4X3 "T". And a little more chamber girth there over the smaller torpedo. Wether it makes any faster I'm not really sure. Yo...

That looks great, the only thing your gonna have an issue with is that clear plastic hose, it will melt shut when it goes into refluxing. Use 1/2" OD pex pipe hot ass water won't bother it at all.

In America, Alaska is probably the last Wild West that people pretty much do what they want. But it's too damn cold and expensive. I use to know someone from there and they said we pretty much do what they want

One of these days I'm going to use cold tap water with the discharge going in the barrel, just to see really how much water you would really go through during a run. Too bad we didn't have a swimming pool :D That would be the best way to recirculate

Just throwing it out there, but has anyone tried the truck radiator with electric fan method? I REALLY think that would knock temps down quick. Re: champagne yeast vs. highly active bread yeast

Boomtown, a lot of the tried and true recipes are what you need to be shooting for here at first. A lot of them turn out washes of about +/- 10%. With that being said, your washes ferment out much quicker, it keeps your yeast (including bread yeast) WAY under their stress levels, therefore when you ...

You know David I was talking to a buddy the other day leaning up against his truck, I picked out a ripe brown acorn out of the back cracked it and ate it. It was rather pleasant tasting. You would have to have some pretty big kahunas to sell your whiskey. Personally I don't think they are looking at small craft distillers. After seeing how they produce it on these shows, I'm not sure if I would ever drink anything that wasn't commercially (or made myself). And not to mention, as eve...

Mr P is right, when distilling properly and watching your cuts, further filtering is not needed. If you screw up your run, dump it in your next batch and re distill. I have NEVER filtered any of mine. And on the plastics thing, the mentors have explained why to not use plastic. If you don't care wha...
