To add on to what johnhopper said, the "wonder gel" is some seriously hazardous stuff. It has both nitric and hydrofluoric acid. Both of these acids are a serious danger; wear protective clothing, a respirator, safety glasses, and gloves when handling; and make sure there is plenty of vent...

Bradford Derustit "wonder gel" works very well. Expensive, plus a hazardous materials shipping fee. But worth it.
