Well done sadie and yummy. Sorry if I seemed a bit blunt in your link thread yummy, I didn't consider elderly member's that are learning, or just members in general that are not familiar with comp functions.

Re: My First Modular Tri Clamp Still and Liebig Collumn!
Very nice mate, top effort.
I just cut short bits of pipe and put some sand paper around a piece of pipe the same size and sand the ends of the short pieces so they scolp shape onto the liebig and coolant line.

With all the different sizes, you will be geting a mix vapor speeds and open area. No one will be able to calculate it. It is what you say it is and its good to see different ideas as some will use the info.

Re: How to solder (beginners guide)
If your soft soldering you shouldn't need a barrier. Heat the joint properly so the solder flows into the joint. Take your time, let the joint take the solder, if your solder isn't being sucked up into the joint its not hot enough.

Nice setup, I started with a keg, still use the same one. I've done essential oils through it to, stunk the hell out of the still but keg was fine. They seem to be good stainless, must be 316 gear I reckon.
