When putting "on oak" you split the wood, do you want to use more of the center wood or more out by the bark? This is taking into account that I have split the log of seasoned oak. Using 6 to 8 inch long 1 inch wide pieces that will see the flame and heavy char. Thank you-

:lolno: 620rossco, your right. I should have said I'm lookin for a different type of bite. Not too harsh, with a pail after taste of smoke instead of salt.

Just off the boat

Spent years cookin lobstas up here in Maine. Figured it's time to start cookin some corn. BTW a side benefit of cookin corn, doesn't pinch. (ouch!) Great site. Wealth of knowledge here. Look forward to partisapating with ya all.
