Wanted to find out some information on the best type of water to use for the wash. I have made a couple of sugar washes using rain, and spring water. Im a little leary of the rain water due to the air pollution we have today. Spring water worked great and it was free. I now have a friend working for...

Re: Howto solder (beginners guide)
What are the brand names of the pot and the bowls and what are their place of purchase? I can never find any that fit that well. I was able to find a WINCO SS Double Boiler that hold 20 liters and a WINCO 10 in SS mixing bowl to work very well together. Re: Column Height vs Diameter
I was using the design of gingerbreadmans that is posted in Tony's pot still pics. I also tried to attach it below. I am using 1 in tubing instead of 3/4. Can someone advise me on the length to make the column. At this point the column is 2 ft. Is Taller better? Athe condenser a...

Re: SS Perculator with cold therapy condenser
I had read that it was good to use copper scouring pads as your packing instead of glass marbles. im sure that i will not get much cuts if any. the pot will only hold 1liter of liquid. The only reason i used the coffee pot was because the hole was already made for me.

SS Perculator with cold therapy condenser
Hello, everyone! I am new to the site and to the hobby. This was the first still that i build today. I used an old SS camping perculator as my pot. Used some 3/4 in copper from your local hardware store for a column and concesor. My concesor was a design that i saw on the discussion board from Ginge...
