Absolutely - you've got to be Scots to make Scotch - to reuse I rechar by pouring some over-proof on the chips and lighting it - when they look ready chuck on some under proof to douse it - using propane is a bit like using store bought flavours

OK on a sugar wash 1st run of 50 litres I get 20 litres of 40% so I tip in a spoon of Baking Soda and let it sit say overnight - I use 2 of these 20 litres for the 2nd run giving them a good shake tipping them in the pot and add say 5 litres of water.
