gingerbreadman im in ontario aswell where do you find feed store's what are they usually called i have no idea what they are and what kind of stuff i can buy in there other then cracked corn.

you are probably right , i did the same wash 3 times and the first 2 were fine the third one i remember racking it straight to the boiler, i must of rushed it i will let all my washes clear next time. So your saying since i like to have taste in my distill it's ok to run it just once or whats the pr...

to me it smellt a little yeasty with a little bit of corn but the yeast smell over powered the corn.

smell in my final product

Hi i brewed a corn whisky, but after 2months it still has a heavy smell but the taste is amazing, it smells strong of esters. I read a little about it but i think it's becuase i put about 1/4cup of bakers yeast in the fermenter, also it might be the way i distilled it correct me if im wrong again i ...

i would just like to add that i used 50grams of bakers yeast to find out 3 weeks later im only down to 1040 about 5% abv so i pitched another cup of bakers yeast and it's bubling like crazy again. So half a cup or even 1 cup will really speed things up and is very important.

thank you so much violentblue. that is the exact answer i was looking for :) btw tater for the brandy i made i only ran it once through the pot stil, it was coming out at 65% from the Pot then i oak it, came out really good i was impressed.
