Re: Winows XP

I have a new laptop with the Windows 8 OS, what a piece of garbage. As Rad states, XP or Vista may not be supported by MS, but will keep working on just fine, Anti Virus like Norton or AVG has not stated any concerns with non supported OS. I am looking at taking Windows 8 off of the laptop and insta...

Re: Cornflakes whiskey

with the "new" ratio of doubling up the corn flake quantity, do you find there is alot of lees? and lees, as Odin puts it are discarded. I do like the clean output tho, but even with the original recipe, I thought there was a quite abit of lees.

with kids vitamins; you'll just end up with immature white dawg; You'll need to age and mature it. I've also tried Women's daily vitamins; i couldnt tell if it was coming or going during fermentation; but was a very good taste at the end. Also have tried Century vitamins; just took a little slower, ...

i'm just wondering out loud whether want your seeing is your distilled product carrying over the tails? if it's a thin copper; and your running on a cycled heat source, this could be the source of your "residue". I've built a couple potstills and after one cleaning run and a rinse; i've ne...

Re: Worm frozen in ice?

i dont like the idea of an enclosed worm in a tube. water will expand when frozen and your apt to get leakage. particularly the 1/4" size i'd be hesitate to use. fyi; i run off a 5 gal. pot with a 5 gal. bucket with worm. 3/8" copper tubing. I've run it more then once on a solid frozen tub...

i'd definately use an airlock..the yeast when in an none oxygenated envorinment is when they "stop" reproducing and consume the sugars and convert them into alcohol and co2. it could be as simple as a balloon with 2 pin pricks on it; although this method was identified as being condusive t...
