DO NOT DO OPTION 1. IT IS A BOMB .

If you cant get full reflux with current deflag changing style of still won’t help. You either need less heat or larger condesor

I use a closed head 30 gallon barrel. Its 1.2 or 1.5 mm thick. Welded a 8” ferule for colum mount. Long as i tie end of condesor to ceiling it supports my lm/vm head.

Biggest reason for for the shortages was shortage of workers in plants. Some plant are setup for either wholesale sized packaging or retail size, not eazy to convert from one to another.
