Re: GNC Mega Men Sugar Wash

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had tried refluxing this and if so how clean did it come out? How would you compare it to something like Wineo's POSW? I'm always looking for neutral recipes to try in the hopes of finding the cleanest one possible.

Re: sweetfeed whisky

I hate to keep spamming the thread but here goes anyways. I just got word from another supplier somewhat near to me that they have a scratch grain mix that is corn, oats, wheat and barley. Sounds good to me right assuming I add some molasses? I did a search in the thread for wheat and saw that some ...

Re: sweetfeed whisky

Now I realize I'm getting ahead of myself because I haven't even procured the grain yet but I can't help myself.

What is everyone's preferred way of drinking the sweetfeed?

Re: sweetfeed whisky

I actually have a bit of flaked rye at home that I was thinking about adding. I'm going to try to recipe out as is to start before I start mucking with it though. Being from Canada I think some rye in the whiskey will give me a flavor I'm more used to anyway.

Re: sweetfeed whisky

Looks like the sweetfeed train is going to be a fun ride. :D So just after I read your reply I received a response from one of the feed stores I had contacted. Looks like they sell everything I need separately. Cracked Corn Rolled Barley Crimped Oats Molasses It seems that 'crimped' oats should be o...

Re: sweetfeed whisky

Hi everyone. I've been making neutral for a few months now and am ready to start experimenting with some whiskey. I think this is going to be the first that I try. I live in the city so its not that easy for me to find farm supply stores within a reasonable drive. I've emailed/called the ones I can ...

Re: Everything you need to know about oak alternatives.

I'm having an awful lot of trouble finding some white oak sticks for sale in Canada. Most places I find don't ship to Canada and those that do cost an insane amount for shipping. Any ideas? The link posted just above me does ship to Canada but I haven't heard any opinions on it yet. http://www.woodw...

Re: Birdwatchers sugar wash recipe

did you do a vinegar run and sacrificial booze run before running your rig to get drinking spirit? If not, there may still be flux in it affecting the taste (and safety!) of your finished booze. For all the BW does make a great neutral I also get a very faint odd not with it (i always put this down...

Re: Birdwatchers sugar wash recipe

Hi everyone! After lurking around here for the better part of 6 months I decided it was time to create an account. I’ve read through many of the pages on the main site, every post in the beginners must read section and numerous other posts throughout the forum. I’m glad I did because I think in the ...
