Were you able to find the correct black German rye bread? Aldi's German pumpernickel produces a fine drop.

Welcome back! Any time I look at posts dating back years I realize just how many of my own gurus are no longer visible here. The clandestine nature of our hobby has it's constraints on freely sharing personnel information. There have been some members who dropped off the site only to daylight months...

Re: Carnivore Lifestyle & Cancer

Dr. Berry's advice has me feel good for the first time in years. Knees and back are sooo much better. Eating once daily, no grain, sugar or starch. Carnivore maybe next. Down about fifty pounds which helps. Haven't had a beer in months and I am limiting the volume of whisky I sip for losing tonnage....

The Irish added the E to differentiate their fine, generally triple distilled sipping drop from the coarse, less refined firewater produced in Scotland. Their opinion, not mine. Just Sayin' I love them both!!! Family on both sides of the Irish Sea... Great post, Bushman! "His name was Gerber......

Truly! Some evil, greedy SOBs murdering people to a few extra bucks!
Every time this happens anywhere on this planet it makes harder to dispel the nasty myths entangled with the long tradition of home distilling spirits for personal consumption.

Re: Angels Envy

I picked up an Angel's Envy several years ago, disappointing, very headsy! May have just been the batch. That bottle has gathered a lot of dust... Their rye is a whole different story, rum casks finished. It is utterly delicious and the nose is amazing. I can nurse a 2 tablespoon pour in a Glencairn...

Re: Are we close to legalization/decriminalization?

Not too legal in Kentucky. They busted Pint-O-Shine, claimed he had a 200 gallon a week operation. The news story pictures a Pint's pattern classic copper Kentucky pot still, his profile on Artisan Distillers said he operated a 20 liter copper pot still. Major operation that....not legal yet, pot ma...

Re: A Angle Share Day

An excellent idea, Tater! With the stealthy nature of our hobby we don't know if someone simply lost interest and faded away or if they actually passed away. An on going memorial post that acknowledged those who are no longer on the green side of the turf, so to speak, would be a respectful addition...
