Lately I have been making runs that are hot to the taste, not proof hot, hot like hot sauce. Has anyone experience this and tell me what I am doing wrong?

I bought 2 gallons of cheep burgundy wine just for the 1 gallon jugs, can I put some of this into my sugar wash run and distill it? If not I will just poor it out.

I would like to build a 4" copper flute still, could someone direct me to a link on how?

I have a Brewhaus 3"Essential Extractor PSII High Capacity- Column, and it is packed with 4 rolls of copper mess, will the flute still do better?
