Re: Drink all night without getting hammered???
The biggest problem I see is that the stomach has a pH of 1 while ADH works optimally at a slightly basic pH. ADH is a protein and not many proteins can handle such low pH without falling apart and becoming inactive. In theory it's a great idea, but in practice I don't think it will work.

I appreciate all the input. I hope to find a local grain supplier that I can buy from, but since beer brewing in AL just got legalized last year, IDK how likely that is. Now... which is better, 2- or 6-row? What about malted barley that isn't proclaimed either? Such as Fawcett Pearl or American Pale...

Just for interest, it is " an " hydrometer. I believe this to be incorrect, sir. "AN" is used before words that begin with a silent "H", such as herb or hour. "A" is used before words with a breath "H", such as historical or heavy (a donkey would NE...

There is a soft rubber-like lining on the lids, similar to the seal on a canning jar. They will get eaten up by high-test Etoh.

Personally, I filled my tubing with water, and froze it, then coiled it. Worked like a charm. Kinks can still happen, but not easily. Also, for removing salt, simply stand your coil up in a pitcher of water or similar so that the water can dissolve the salt overnight. Should come out fairly easily a...

with all the freeze concentration info there seems to be a lot of assumption than science. Re: dilution puzzle
This will get you what you need. I can put this into Excel if you need me to. You need 133 ml of 73% to give you a total of 533 ml of 40% alcohol. (0.40 - 0.29) * 400 = .73X -.40X X = 133.3 ml of 73% ABV + 400 ml of 29% ABV (desired ABV - current ABV) * current qty = (dilution ABV * X) - (desired AB...
