Re: lm off set head problem
My wash was 12% based on potential alcohol on hydrometer readings. There aren't any obstructions in my takeoff tube. It just seems like no matter how much reflux returned to column my head temp won't settle anywhere near 78.1. I tried increasing power and temp goes up but when i decrease power the t...

lm off set head problem
I have a lm still and cannot seem to get any real amount of relux to occur to raise purity. I use 3000w to heat up and do my run on about 650w. It seems like no matter how much output i return as reflux my head temp stays in the 80 to 81c range. I have a 1/4 double wound spiral condenser i use and w...

I have a 4000watt 220v adjustable scr voltage regulator that I use to control a 3000watt heating element in a 15.5 gallon keg kettle. I'm wondering if I c...

Re: Neutral or not?
That is all I get is the alcohol smell. So I am very close to neutral. I knew true neutral would be a higher abv but thats close enough for me. Thanx for answering my "Silly" question!

Neutral or not?
How do you tell if your alcohol is neutral? I have a "neutral" run off my fractionating still measures 186 proof but still has that alcohol sting to the nose. So my silly question is "Is this neutral alcohol or not"!! How does your neutral alcohol smell? Mine has no other odour j...
