This is ballpark but for a pot still you will have about a 1/3 hearts. Of course there are many variables that can change this.

A column of any sort will drastically increase your hearts yield as it compresses the heads fraction but this also results in a different type of spirit.

Really hard to say as there isn’t enough information. Recipe used, ABV of aging spirit, how it was blended, water used for dilution etc etc etc?

The top center of a keg has different thicknesses, when I welded my 4” ferrule to the top leveling it and getting a good weld was a Pita. Yes with a 7l still you going to need to go very slow 1-2 drips per second. Even a full charge of 40% low wines isn’t going to result in a whole lot of usable product. But with that said if you take your time and exercise patients you will do just fine.

All great information was given here. Smaller the better while starting out. 1/2 pints and up will treat you well.

What size still/boiler are you planning on running?

So most of the CCVM builds I notice people have a made a stainless gas line coil. I’m using a 2”x8” double wound copper coil.

When you are in full reflux mode how far is the bottom of your coil below the take off port?
