Mg/l=ppm. Not sure what type of liquor photonics was testing, have to go back and look at that. If it was neutral vs. Whisky that would certainly account for higher acetalaldehyde.

I've found the fill port on my boiler to be indespensible. Combined with a drain valve at the bottom. I break down every run ATM but if you are in a spot to be able to leave your rig set up you will appreciate it. Especially if you have easy access to welding/welders. My $.02

Welds, my fave is the base of the column, he used bronze i think? color is the same and it just disappears. only got away with it cause of the slip fit.I thought the fill port was just goin to be a niceity, but already I love it.

That does make sense. More and more as I look at the new build, it will be easier to just ditch the idea of the thumper altogether and go with the strip/spirit method.
