All right wondering if anybody can tell me what would be the optimum length, angle and internal tube size for a liebig condenser on a 25 quart stove top stock pot?

We didn't experiment too much with it but one friend of mine used whole kernel canned corn and I used a creamed corn with figure we would have gotten some kind of flavor out of those but we just soaked it in our liquor

Sorry I couldn't help I wasn't on the forum back then had to take a hiatus. But I can tell you from experience trying to get flavor from soaking your distillate on corn does not work. At least it didn't for me.

stove tops work fine for a pot still I've used a gless top for a while. You do need a thick bottom pot or a piece of steel plate to hold the heat when the burner cycles off.

Howdy shadylane. Good handle by the way. I have a Harbor Frieght router speed controler and it won't pull over 8 amps wich I think on a 1500w ellament is around 800 wats. How did you gat past that obstical?

Damn oldog if you got a lathe you got it made. Just chuck your pipe in the in your flange clamp and tap your flange out then drop some solder on top of the flange as rumbull did in his first post then put it in your lathe and turn it to the propper dimensions. Well I can get a 5 gallon bucket of feed mollasses for 15 bucks. Don't know how much it weighs but I bet it's a good bit more then 5 pounds and you don't have to add sugar to it. Thats Why Larry thinks it's funny.
