Re: New Still Design
Days ago when I was here I asked for comments on a distiller. I was advised I was doing it all wrong, and only wanting to pick brains to make a profit on something I know nothing about. I was then given a stern talking to about acceptable materials and priorities. Well, the internet is a wonderful p...

Re: New Still Design
OK I get your point but you don't get mine. I started out selling stills for a reputable manufacturer. I also spent a lot of time thinking about, reading about distilling, and occasionally running off a gallon. It gets better as time goes by and there is no way to do it but just dive in and do it. I...

Re: New Still Design
I came here with a sincere desire to improve my units, to get accurate information. I got that, and I also got spit on and called names. I can't find any way to remove my profile so if you don't mind please do it for me.

Re: New Still Design
I will find PTFE gasket material, thank you. The enamel ware pot was used in development but not to be sold. Your expert opinion is why I am here. Randomly surfing the internet is of little help since all you get are generalities and fuzzy info.

Re: New Still Design
The design is working. I am distilling with no water involved in cooling. Really. The take off hose is chemical tolerant hose which Brewhaus supplies with their units. Can easily be replaced with more copper. The bowl is sealed to the top of the boiler with Saint-Goben high temperature gasket tape. ...

New Still Design
Hi Guys I am looking for input on my new still design. I do small batches because I have a small apartment and wanted to invent something that is less trouble than the large water-cooled reflux distillers I have always used. After a lot of thought and experimentation I came up with a design that wil...

New Guy
I am new to the forum but have been distilling and researching for 7 or 8 years. I prefer small batch distilling with a reflux column. I have always used distillers I bought which were 7 gallon stainless with about a 3 inch by 4 foot column and water cooled condenser. For a guy doing small batches (...
