Ok I tested my water it tested out at 6.8 PH and 120 alkalinity. Other post say I want my PH around +/- 5 and citric acid will bring it down. What about the alkalinity?

I did the first clean out on sunday. What a fiasco....I had more leakes than the titanic..lol trying to plug them up with flouer puddy, the kid said we were going to go out but this is more enterning. It was a vinigar and water and I was not worred about leaks. I did the 2nd clean out today I sealed...

Ok....The local brew supply did not have brewers yeast....I bought lalvin EC 1118. they did not have dap but had Crosby & baker fermax yeast nutient. Am I good to go??

Update.....I picked up my 12 gal boiler from the welder today and 20' of soft copper for my worm. I have to cut the hole for my lyne arm my self. I'll coil the worm and cut the hole and clean out the boiler at a car wash tomarrow. Pictures will be up by friday. Question....I have to make two gaskets...

Hack what is this about a self filling thumper? Elaborate please.
I was going to go 1/2" into and out of the thumper then to 1/4" to the worm. After going to tony's web site and resizing I'm going to a 1/2" worm

I dont think a 1/2" into the thumper is a problem but thanks. I thought I had all the parts to finish this build but lol I gotta re think it. The gray matter is on over drive. I hate it when that happens.

Ok I'm gonna step it down but I was gonna use 12" at a time but i"now gonna do 3" I'm getting close to even with the top of the pot. I want some seperation from the boiler and the thumper. I am having problems with the heat source. Elect or gas??
