Re: Can someone Explain this to me?

Just a curious question...

Did you pull off the fore shots? Is the stuff you put in the barrel the stuff that first came off your still?

Sweet Cherry Pie

I looked around the net to try and find a way to make the ladies like the shine a little more. After reading a few recipes I devolved a few of my own. Sweet Cherry Pie 64 oz of Black Cherry Juice 1 Cup of sugar 2 cans of Tart Cherries 1.5 pint (3 Cups) of high proof shine or ever clear. I used 170 P...

Re: Novice Question - second run

I took some distilled water to jar #4. Both measured 68F. I added Alcohol to water on one jar and water to alcohol on the other. Both of them clouded up. I am guessing I smeared the entire run. I stuck the two jars in the freezer to see if they would clear but I doubt they will. Are they still drink...

Re: Novice Question - second run

Anything rad can call me, I can deal with. I'll dump the cloud shine into the next run. I'm thinking of building a parrokeet . The mini version for my take off, I think I can get the stuff from work.

I'm learning, as long as I can correct my mistakes, I can make forward progress.

My Cloudy Jar Vs An Un-diluted Jar

Look at the valves on the short column. The one that returns the condensed product to the main column is closed.

Re: Another Stalled Sugar wash

I"m staying with EC-1118 from here on out too. Seems to do the trick with out the smell or the taste. I was a little cautious about sipping some tomato paste wash but It wasn't that bad. I can't tell the colors apart from the strips.. I gave up on them. I'm thinking of distilling Sunday Afterno...

I bought this. I calibrated with Ph 4 and Ph 6.4. I test my wash, rinse with tap water, dry with paper towel and recap.

Re: Another Stalled Sugar wash

I screwed up. I grabbed the s-04 out of the fridge when i was supposed to grab the EC-1118. Both blue.. just different shades..

I'm going to start with some egg shells. I have those. I'll crush them up and throw them in there with some baker's yeast. See what happens!!

Thanks guys & gals.

This is my Controller. I used an old computer power supply. I took a computer heat sink that had an 80mm fan on it and screwed it into the spot where the power supply fan went. I used These Controllers http://www.ebay.com/itm/140553985193 . it was 31.25 for two shipped to my door. It took about 13 d...
