Well I was bored and didnt wanna crack into my aged whiskey cuz its not done yet. Boredom killed me and yes I am doing that in smaller jars. i brushed my teeth and drank some water and my pallet is back so im good! just had to share my story with the community lol

Hello shot! Take it slow and enjoy the journey to good shine. experiment with recipes and get a bigger still to make more accurate cuts! good luck and keep us posted

agree with stainless but my question is what is your boiler? like above post said it must be at least 304 grade... you can build a ss pot still with a thumper like i have 25 gallon but semi copper ( after boiler ) pm me for more info! keep readin bro

Thanks. I was just thinking the less you put in there the more space you would have in pot for the vapor to have to fill so was thinking that perhaps there was a point to where you would be wasting it. Thanks again!

I think depending on what you would like to distill would determine what kind of still you should make. There are a lot of threads on the forums about what type of stills are better for what you are trying to accomplish. If you are trying to make whiskey or rums (anything that has more flavor) then ...
